Umlazi is home for me, and it's where I sell, along with Isipingo and Amanzimtoti. I work streets like Griffiths Mxenge Highway, Echwebeni Avenue, Mkabayi Street and Mlungu Circle in Umlazi, and Linscott Road in Athlone Park.

I sell freehold family homes, mostly to first-time buyers. The schools and colleges buyers ask me about are Mangosuthu University of Technology, Coastal College in BB Section and Okumhlophe High School in Z Section.

Umlazi is one of the biggest townships in South Africa. People like it because the rates are affordable and it's good for property investment, with rental demand from students and from working adults.

Before property, I played soccer. I came through the youth academies at SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns and represented South Africa's junior national teams at under-17 and under-20 level, until injuries forced me to stop. That's when I developed my passion for real estate.

This is my first year as an agent. I've sold one property and have another offer pending, and I'm finally doing what I'm passionate about: helping people buy the home they want, and giving sellers the best service I can.

In my area most people speak isiZulu, and I work in isiZulu and English.
